Jardines Loves: Floristry

I love being a florist everyday is different and its so enjoyable creating flowers and seeing someone smile when they receive them. Everyday varies and can be full of surprises.

I love every aspect of the job, but not so much early morning market trips! but I do enjoy myself when I get there, hand picking blooms for weddings, everyday flower deliveries, flower crown workshops, Hen’s parties and decorating jobs. I always feel like I have so much to learn and strive to always stay fresh with trends, seasonal flower availability and floral designs. I enjoyed studying at TAFE, meeting other flower designers and working with them, I love flower books and scrolling social media to see other designers work within Australia and overseas.

Shopping for sundries for my studio also gives me inspiration for my designs, the latest wrapping materials, vases, and accessories. Everyday Fashion, Design, Art, Nature and Landscapes also influences me. But basically flowers and the seasonal changes are my biggest creative influences and uniquely designing each floral arrangement for each client.
